Licenses:
Valid certification from the National Institute for Automotive Services Excellence (ASE) in the Master Collision Repair and Refinish Certification Series in the areas of: Painting and Refinishing (Test B2); Structural Analysis and Damage Repair (Test B4)

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Skills:
Ability to work with students; demonstrated computer competency and knowledge of classroom management.


Experience:
Two years of occupational work experience in the field required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: (Indicate if a line or support staff position)

To provide a planned and organized program of instruction for students enrolled at Maxwell High School of Technology.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Plan, organize, and communicate curriculum content and information to students.

2. Organize and maintain a clean and orderly classroom and laboratory environment.

3. Thoroughly and fairly assess student performance.

4. Manage the classroom and laboratory learning process in a manner that promotes maximum achievement by the students.

5. Maintain an organized and productive advisory committee.

6. Maintain an effective relationship with members of the employment community.

7. Actively participate in the Rising Professionals program.

8. Maintain an accurate inventory record of all equipment, materials, and supplies assigned to his/her instructional area.

9. Complete reports accurately and promptly.

10. Participate in assigned or required staff development.

11. Communicate and work cooperatively with staff, students, parents, and community employers.

12. Perform other duties as assigned.

13. Participate in SkillsUSA chapter activities and prepare students to compete in the SkillsUSA competitions.
