The
Georgia Collision Industry Association was formed in 1998 by a few
dedicated and concerned industry leaders
from around the State of Georgia. The founders of the GCIA are professionals
from the automotive collision repair industry and have hundreds of
years of experience between them. Their visions of what the GCIA should
be were many - but they all had one goal in mind:
"To
Promote Professionalism and
Consumer Awareness of the
Automotive Collision Repair Industry in the State of Georgia."
The
automotive
collision repair industry is an honorable profession
that requires a high-level of expertise and knowledge to perform.
Gone are the days of pounding out a quarter-panel and slopping some
"mud" on the dents. Today's automobiles with their complex
and computerized systems, unitized bodies, and composite materials
require the expertise and know-how of top-notch body repairers to
do the job right! And that's what GCIA members do - they do it right
the first time!
All
GCIA members understand and come from the
collision repair industry. But they also understand that one can never
have too much information about their operations and industry. This
kind of knowledge can give you the edge over the competition.
A
good businessman is an informed and aware businessman. He is aware
of what is taking place in his surrounding market and uses this information
as a management tool to improve his operation. This is where the GCIA
is helping its members - by keeping them informed about the industry
in Georgia and beyond.
If
you are a collision industry professional, the GCIA encourages you
to review our Web site, contact us, and become
a member. If you are a consumer, we
encourage you to visit one of our member shops
when you, unfortunately, need our services. And, if you're looking
to enter the exciting and rewarding profession of collision repair,
we encourage all job seekers to contact us
and learn more about the many job opportunities
available in our member businesses.
