2008 GCIA Labor Rate Survey

The GCIA is currently conducting it's 2nd Annual Labor Rate Survey. CSi Complete will be calling over 700 collision repair centers in the Metro Atlanta area. We need your assistance in making sure we have an accurate measure of labor rates. Please inform your office staff and administrative personnel that CSi Complete will be calling and educate them on how to answer the survey. Once we have received the results, we will post them for your review.

GCIA provides local high school with crashed vehicle

The GCIA again provided Kell High School in Cobb County, GA with a crashed vehicle to encourage students not to drink and drive. The vehicle was displayed in the front of the school for the entire week leading up to Prom night. School administrators promotes what it calls a "Buzz Free Prom." All students signed a pledge not to drink on Prom night.

This is the Forth year the GCIA has partcipated in this program and is looking to expand this program to other Metro Area schools next year. The GCIA would like to thank Paris, from Barrow Body Shop in Smyrna for providing the wrecked vehicle.

EPA Autobody Information

The EPA now has an autobody information center which contains information on the best practices for the body shop, paint mixing room, and for auto refinishers when spray painting. The EPA has also teamed up with the Coordinating Committee for Automotive Repair (CCAR) to create an online virtual body shop which can viewed at http://www.ccar-greenlink.org.
